Pathway to Independence
Our Independent Living Skills sessions will help you with your daily life, so you can live more independently or with support.
We have recently opened a second campus that provides you with a real home environment in which to learn, based on your individual needs and learning targets. Through hands-on experiences, you can develop skills such as cooking and nutrition, home safety and personal hygiene.
You can also learn how to get dressed and look after your clothes, manage your money and home, solve problems, and get out and about in your local community.
If you want to talk to us about the Pathway to Independence please call 0121 359 1714 or email email@example.com
If appropriate, you will learn how to travel on your own to college, work placements or in your local community. We also have our own minibuses that can provide transport for our learners to and from work placements and other activities, if needed.
Our travel training will give you the confidence to get out and about. It will help you to become more independent and to live the life you want to live.
You will learn how to use different types of transport, including trains and buses, giving you the freedom to meet friends or travel to appointments or your workplace.

You can explore your job opportunities by taking part in work placements. These will give you a real experience of employment outside the college.
You will learn how to communicate and co-operate with others in a work environment, how to talk to customers, deal with problems and overcome challenges.
You will also learn about health and safety in the workplace and gain helpful advice and guidance. Plus, you will discover the type of work you’re suited to and what you enjoy.
